Any updates on this? Mess Patch is the best add-on, other than Plus!

This sucks because a-patch and plus! clash!
Question: are you guys developing Mess Patch Light in compensation for discontinuing the full version? |

Rolando has been adsent from this forum since february (2009).
I've just begin to received this annoying notifications regarding a MSN update, as default I don't like MSN 9, maybe with Mess patch. A-Patch is not so complete. I will deeply sorry is Mess Patch full version for MSN 9 don't get release. I don't imagine how badly will affect my MSNstic behave. I been using Mess Patch from the first release, to me is not an option anymore, its a must. I should pay for it. |

Maybe MS pay the moderators so they stop working on a new version of MESS Patch, after all MS would be the only winner in this situation, of course and the mess.be crew.

Maybe MS pay the moderators so they stop working on a new version of MESS Patch, after all MS would be the only winner in this situation, of course and the mess.be crew. You are not to far from the truth... This was said by "eatmyshorts" more than a year ago on January 5 2008 and is posted on the first page of this same thread: "There is a conspiracy theory going round in several mexican boards, the theory is about this site and/or mess patch developers being in bed with microsoft. This has been said ever since mess patch began with the no so subtle warning to users against disabling advertisement, so no subtle in fact that many first time or unexperienced patch users dont actually know how to remove them. Come on, the creators of the patch that removes advertisement now ask us not to remove it????? I really dont think microsoft is going to lose any money or sleep nor cancel the WLM project cause we patch it, do you? And now this "delay" on the mess patch..." The post by "eatmyshorts" goes on and on, but this first part is quite the same idea you have. As for me I can add that most of the front news posted on this site is information, promotions and invitations directly from the Messenger Team, so is quite obvious that the staff from this site is voluntarily or involuntarily working for microsoft, and they are happy about it. The lack of information and response on their behalf just shows they are hiding something. This post has been edited by mizur: Jun 10 2009, 01:03 AM |

Whatever the underlying reason, there is absolutely no doubt at this point that the mess patch project is completely dead. For that matter, mess.be is pretty much in the grave as well. When was the last time anyone saw a half-interesting or helpful post there? It's been years. A-Patch is all that remains and although it is a pretty minimalistic option, it's what we have so we should encourage development there, not waste our time hoping that mess will rise from the grave. I also agree that MS had a hand in this.

Even via Twitter never heard of something great announce. RIP Mess.be |
