Can anyone tell me what size a CLEAR background for the conversation window would be? When I say "clear", I mean non-chunky pixels (clear like your desktop image). Is it even possible to get a nice sharp image in the conversation window? I've been trying and trying and I just can't get it (and I can't give up cuz I'm a perfectionist). I have version 6.2 and my usual settings are 1024x768 if any of that matters.

I know, I was just hoping that someone had the "key" (pixel by pixel ratio) for me because I'm going cross eyed (and a little insane) removing one pixel row at a time to try and find the right combination to make it sharp.
And thanks Tasha but I already tried 400x300; still fuzzy.
I'm looking for someone who's as anal as I am and always maximizes their windows, who can tell me the pixel ratio before I go blind.

im exactly the same!!!

ive been trying so hard to make the right size, because i love graphic design and make almost everything i use.

i really want to know the pixels of the msn box maximised

it doesn't work at 1024x768 because of the start bar and everything, but no matter what i do it still doesnt seem to appear like the original.

=[

please anyone help us out!!!

xx

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hey i think i actually found an answer!

i have windows live halfway on the top banner theres a line between the "activites etc" buttons and the contacts name and personal message

i was looking at how much of my original pictures were cut off and where it actually sat inside the msn screen

where the line is, is where the wallpaper ends

i made a simple PCD background and it doesnt distort, the pixels are still quite larger than the original clean pixels

but it's not stretched fat or too tall.

the size i used was 1024x651 but im going to keep playing around with it and see if i can get a better result.

ill keep updating as i go =] x

1920x1200 works really well! its very similar to the one before except because of the size the pixels get sqaushed together and make it look more high qaulity!

you can get wallpapers that size at like.. www.skins.be i use that site alot for photoshopping, its all just women but theres like a car section and stuff too =P and not only skanks! people like linsday lohan, selma blair etc are all on there.

the pixels look a little shaggy but i highly doubt there's a perfect msn background size, and i dont think the creators of msn are going to release that information either.

oh well!

i hope i helped

i know how anal i am about this so im sorry if my posts seemed excessive

just trying to help =]

x

what if you take a screenshot of your window, paste that into your gfx program, then measure the pixels of the window.

that is if you KEEP the window size the same throughout... if you change it from time to time, youll mess it up
