Praise be to God.

Current Version: 1.43 (build 3) ~ WLM
Updated: 19/8/2009
Supported Versions: 9.0 (14.0.8089.0726, 14.0.8064.0206, 14.0.8050.1202)
Total Features: 11

Praise be to God.

Yet again Microsoft has put another hurdle in front of editing the User Interface files, so at the moment only 10 A-Patch options are available for you. Soon, God-Willing, with the help of the Messenger community I should be able to deliver a fully optioned A-Patch.

In the meantime you can download the lite version of A-Patch with a pretty handy list of options including removing advertisements and nudge shake/delays. The 'preview' feature is also back :-)

Ahmad, can you add "make the conversation window dashboard like" option?

It makes the chat window shiny blue like the main window

QUOTE(Ahmad)
Praise be to God.

A-Patch has been updated for Windows Live Messenger 9.0 beta (14.0.3921.0717). Some options have been removed due to them not being needed and some options including the "Live Preview" have been temporarily disabled until a future A-Patch build.

Some new options have been added for removing the Photos button, the Groups button and the text which is alongside all those buttons on the toolbar.

Praise be to God.

I'd like to thank TheSteve and also give shoutouts to Ipab, TB & Matt Hollwood for working on the "protection" work-around, now we finally go back to customizing Messenger like we used to!

So after 8 hours straight updating A-Patch for Windows Live Messenger 9 version 14.0.5027.0908, with no further adue I can finally bring you A-Patch with a whopping 56 options to play with! Some options were removed because it seems that the Messenger team implemented them wink.gif And some more options will be added in future builds God-Willing, including the "Preview"!

Hey Ahmad I know you were saying on the last 2 builds you were going to add more things back i miss a lot of the old things you use to remove witch there's still a lot more things you can add to remove in A-Patch for the new Windows Live Messenger , i know a 1 thing i would love to see removed is the Show the what's new list , now i know you can go in to the Options and disable it but to a lot of ppl they would not know about that now to ppl who's good with pc's and know to check in settings and that would look for something like that but to other ppl they would not know about that and im sure with ppl with slower nets that would slow there windows live messenger down by that popping up also i know if i just sign in to a msn account i would love it just to be gone then messing with clicking to remove that but that's 1 thing out of other things im sure you could remove in the new build of Windows Live Messenger anyways hope to see few more things add it keep up the good work Ahmad

Ahmad, do you have a roadmap for features and release date targets perchance? As everyone is now solely reliant on you, it would be great to know when A-Patch will be expanding its borders.
