WLM 8.1 beta is coming... Options

People who tested 8.0 were given priority to apply and beta test yahoo interop and now 8.1 beta.

And people who did 7 could test 8 automatically.

So if lots of people from Spain chose to do 7, then 8, then interop, and now want to do 8.1, they will get priority. They want a mix from ALL Instant messaging markets to get a balance

I'm not saying you won't get accepted, but mentioned above may be ONE reason why you are not accepted.

Yes, you have got a point. Priority is always given to those who previously tested or got Invitation's directly from Microsoft (in this case Windows Live Butterflies, or WLM/Y!M interop testers). The rest of the slots are then filled by other applicants.

Also, one needs to remember, the managed Beta is only available in selected countries, so some people who applied will not be accpeted because of region. But, i know for sure the Managed Beta is available in Spain.

or you have an invite id . I think that most people who signed up and tested the interop beta received an email with an invite id. So now i have this :

Same here. I signed up first and it still says pending, then got a nomination code in an email and used that and it's active.

Even though I'm tempted to run the Leaked versions (I've so far seen two; one on "removed" and one on "removed") I think I'll still wait for a) Public Beta or b) My request-to-join-the-beta to be accepted

Some peoples status in the Beta may remain pending. Remember, that by signing up and completing the survey, it DOESN'T guarantee you'll be accepted into the Beta. That step is just to show you're interest

Chances that people will still be accepted are very slim, seeing as the Beta has already begun (but i may be wrong here)

Has anyone else noticed *some* of there custom content (eg. emoticons) are not present in this beta version?..

Also changing your display picture is not as easy as it once was.. Not so sure about the clicking and viewing of your own contact card..

(Please note: I'm not complaining.. Meerly making observations of what i see in the new beta.. thanks for your time lol)

(Update: Also please let it be known for people thinking of updating, that plus is not compatible with this version.. (at this stage))
