What spec iMac did you get?

Applications i recommend;
Adium - for your instant messaging needs (supports like 14 protocols)
AppZapper - The uninstaller apple forgot to add.
Aurora - Alarm that can play iTunes playlists, eyeTV channels or start an application at the set time.
MPlayer - plays pretty much any video codec (i haven't found anything it can't play)
Speed download 5 - amazing app for using with sites such as rapidshare.
VMware Fusion
Wallet - for keeping note of passwords etc..

As far as I know, no UK ISP completely cuts off your access once you reach any cap they've defined.

Zen does, when you reach your limit you get redirected to a page of therese and you have to pay for more bandwidth there and then to continue using the net, no way around it.

i can easily use up more than 200GB in one month.. luckily BT doesn't seam to care about it to much, sometimes they restrict my speed, but that doesn't effect me as long as i don't download stuff at the same time as being on xbl

Saw a hummer around Surrey yesterday... Was taking up the WHOLE width of the road (was a two lane road). Why on earth would anyone buy a car like that?

It's hardly a car tho.. more like a tugboat on land.

or a cross between the AA tow truck and a small tractor.

i drive a lil ford ka.. pretty crap, but insurance is cheap ~£500 as a named driver with 2 years no claims.
supposedly on wiki it has 69 bhp or something mad.

it's not a bad lil car tho, the clutch is nice and soft and the gear box ain't bad for a street car ( will do 30 in first; 50 in second; 70 in third and about 90 in 4th) and it's pretty sweet for doing hand brake and j turn's

So I'm using OS X Leopard and trying to connect to the MSN network using the latest version of Adium.

i've just got back from uni and my dads network setup is causing my Adium to not connect to the MSN service. instead just consistently try and connect. Now my sister on the other hand who is using a windows based machine (XP i believe) is having no issues connecting with her WLM. I'm not experiencing any problems if i using iChat to connect to the MSN network via jabber. but do have problems if i attempt to use the MSN for Mac.

Now Adium worked fine down at uni on my network there. but since i came home it hasn't, i haven't changed any settings or anything else.

strange issue, any ideas on what it could be would be gratefully taken.

Cheers, Gaz.

For what ever reason she is not living with you, but that now makes you not her guardian. and thus any trying to tapper with her computer is more than likely against the law.

£35 pm x 18 = 630.
you get 200 texts a month, which is equal to £20 so £20 * 18 = £360.
you get 200 mins a month, which is equal to £10 so £10 * 18 = £180. (thats if a call is 5p a min (i'm not sure how much a mobile call costs))
£360 + £180 = £540

£630 - £540 = £90

is that not a deal?

Although Vista could do with a few improvements I think it's generally better than XP or the bevelled crap they had before that. But with OS X, for me they have taken a step backwards in UI. Just as I was starting to get used to brushed steel!

I was going to get it the other week but I found a review of Portal for x360, which deserves a thread of its own because it's freaking amazing! Definitely my type of game! So I ended up getting that instead. I still plan on getting leopard but there have been reports of so many bugs recently, so I'm holding out for as long as I can until the die hard fans find the initial bugs and they get patched.

the only problem i have had is safari being a pain in the ass with some CMS's

Judging from an e-mail i got today from apple, the iPhone is hitting the UK at 18:02 Tonight.
It's going to be with O2 (no surprise there)

Tariffs:
£35 pm - 200 minutes, 200 texts.
£45 pm - 600 minutes, 400 texts.
£55 pm - 1200 minutes, 500 texts.

all tariffs are for an 18 month period, and all include unlimited data, visual voicemail and 7,500 cloud wi-fi hot spots.

exciting news for the UK, and it's not that bad a deal.

I love how people say "Got it at midnight release omg!"

I got mine at 7 o'clock after school. Every store had like 30 copies. But it's a great game.

I got my copy at midnight release as well.. didn't play it for a day!

talk to your employer, if your not happy with your hours talk to them, if your happy, then take the money..

but it does depend on your job and the exact hours you work.
i didn't quite understand what you were saying, you said you work from 12 (dinner time) but dinner is a meal at night... but i presume you mean lunch, so you work an 11 hour shift...

What you say???? msn_disappointed.gif

you don't have round abouts, your infrastructure is poor (you either have to drive somewhere or fly) the roads are in bad condition.. thus spead limits are what 55? on the interstate. you can turn right if you have a clear way on a red light... drivers don't genreally have a good sense of the size of there car.

bit weird imo...

tell me why engadget have hands on????

Frankly i don't know why they do, because jobs sent them one, so they could review it, and get people to pre-order them.
But where did you get yours from?

seeing as how apple isn't shipping from any of it's stores and the offical release isn't untill the end of the month, i highly doubt you have one.

If iPod's are so crap as you put it dazzy, then how come it's one of the best selling mp3 players?
