I previously installed the latest version of messenger (the one that has a special edition for both win7 and xp), I didn't manage with it so I uninstalled it, in purpose to install a previous one. Since then I can't install anuy version of messenger, not even the latest one.
the message I get is: "your computer has a newer version of windows live messenger than the one you are trying to install. To install an older version, first remove the current version (click start settings... etc) and then run this set up again)". this message appears although I uninstalled messenger, using even 3-side softwares (e.g. revo uninstaller). does someone has a clue? maybe some registry entries I need to change?
Thank you
