Im looking for a laptop for my friend under or the price of 1300 euros. It gotta be at least 14 inches and have 1gb of ram. What nice ones du u suggest?

Dell.com is pretty cool for laptops and there customisable. Also have a look at Toshibas laptops

sony laptops are the bomb

the fs series is really good, I have a 17" one,but I cant seem to find it there msn_confused.gif
but thats just sony laptops, its very good! my one does quake 4 very well! and battlefield 2
but It really depends on what you're friend wants to use this laptop for!

My Dell laptop (Inspiron 510m) is pretty good. I ordered a secondary battery (which replaces the DVD writer) and as such I get 6-7 hours' battery life with it in normal operation. If you plan to be using it on battery a lot I highly recommend that sort of option.

Also I'm not sure it's much of an issue any more, due to most laptops having them anyway, but do try to get an Intel Pentium M or AMD Turion 64 processor (former for standard word processing etc tasks, latter for gaming/etc -- that's where each gets the lowest power usage), again for the sake of battery life.
