So make sure you sign up if you want to be part of the beta experience for WLM. Head on over to Connect (http://connect.microsoft.com/), Sign in, click on Available Connections and scroll down til you see Windows Live Messenger 8.1 beta, then hit apply msn_happy.gif

Or, just follow this link:

they did say something on that video they released about trying to get video/voice to work with yahoo contacts over messenger. they did say in the future could that be in this build? i personaly think its a little early for them to have done this and alexp2_ad i think you are probs right with vista compatibility. hummm WLM is 32bit right? wounder if theres gonna be a 64bit release or something sounds stupid but microsoft have been releasing alot of 32bit and 64bit applications lately. all of the 32bit new programs soon follow a 64bit shorly after if not at the same time?

could this be something new?

plus microsoft have just released some new webcams mayb they are going to put a few links in there or something asking u to buy um msn_wink.gif.

meh whatever it is im sure it wont be such a big thing such as yahoo video and voice.. but you never no.... im guessing a few ne links better sign in time and some more dialog box's for the view friends contact list rubbish they brought out just..

i signed up anyways im interested.

Most likely, only on whole version changes it usually doesn't work, but minor versions it should work fine except sometimes a few features need to be checked.

you reckon the old change folder name trick will work this time so that i can still have 8.0 too as i know the folders and files are all set up differently to MSN on WLM, dont know if they are clever enough to still know what folder to delete if its diferent now tho by some file somwhere hmmm.

I will see tonight if i decide to do it

I think you have to wait a while. It should say it's pending. Decided not to bother now.

I've been accepted already anyways now - yay. Just gota wait a few weeks for the downloads to become available.

I've no idea what they will include in the upcoming builds.
