I was wondering if anyone could help with this problem..
I try run messenger.. I get signed in.. then about 5 seconds later it comes up "Windows Live Communications Platform has encountered a problem and needs to close" if I click Send Error Report or Don't send.. or if I close it.. I get signed out of messenger. (14.0.5027.908) any help would be great  thanks Chris |

well if you still have your installation cd, try bringing up the command box (start>run) and type SFC /scannow (don't forget the space!) what this does is try to detect wether any of your windows components is missing or damaged, and replace it. perhaps that's where the problem lies? you never know.

If anybody has mess with their windows live massenger, simply search WLDLOG.DLL file in your compuer search. you 'll see 2 files with this name. delete the 1 that comes with contacs/wldlog.dll
and enjoy your messenger. I had tried EVERYTHING listed, but NOTHING worked, until I found THIS. Thank you so much!!! I can now use messenger again. Thank you very, very, very much!
