I am looking for an update dtopper that windows live version 8.5.1302.1018 and i was sent here by another website as they said this place had a patch that would do this.....Please help me i updated to the newest version and then downgraded again because i hated that version and dont plan on updating.

What exactly don't you like about that particular version?

the general overall
the feel of the messenger
how the messenger acts so differently
i feel i have to learn a whole entirely different messenger which i am not willing to do.

today, msn force me to update to last version to use it
anyone have a patch to prevent it?

There is a forced upgrade in progress due to several security issues Microsoft has long documented. By mid-September, if you're not using the newest version then you won't be accessing messenger.

The reshack fix I posted in a few places here should work fine. I highly doubt they're gonna change the protocol versions due to a good number of 2k/9x/ME users on original MSN 7.0 who can't use WLM.
